Rebooting Again

What do you do when your two-year contract in Budapest, Hungary is done? You change your career and move to Dijon, France, right?

When I decided to move to Budapest in 2013, I was rebooting my life. You know when your computer freezes or something isn’t going quite right—then you reboot. That’s what I did. I wasn’t changing career fields, but I was uprooting my life and moving to a place I had only known for a few days while on an interview.

I decided to do it again.

This time, I’ve conducted a full reboot—new city, new country, new career. Except this stop is really just a way station. I’m back in school. A mid-life career transition to the business of wine—right in the capital of the Burgundy wine region.

Cheers to that!

Jennifer, Hope this wonderful new adventure in Dijon is going well for you! I am excited that you have taken the leap and are doing something you have enjoyed for a long time. Clearly you are an inspiration to all who have ever given career advice to work doing what you truly love. Will enjoy vicariously through your blog. Warmest wishes, Sylvia
